FIRST AID COURSE - WEDNESDAY 23rd MARCH

All Coaches

The Club is running a short course on emergency first aid for WDJFC coaches and managers. This is in response to the District's directive that all Coaches (and preferably Managers) should hold an up to date First Aid Certificate, in case of injury at training sessions when the teams nominated First Aid Officer may not be in attendance. All coaches and managers are invited to attend this free session.

If you could please advise your Team Manager's (if you have one or as soon as you have appointed somebody) of these details so that they may attend also this would be appreciated.

Sports Medicine Australia are presenting a 2-hour session on emergency first aid for the WDJFC.

This session (or a current first aid certificate) is compulsory for all coaches and it would be great if our managers could come along as well. The session will cover:

- Warm up and Cool Down Protocol

- Transport of Injured Players 

- Initial assessment and injury management (STOP, RICER, NO HARM)

- Concussion

- Taping and strapping of injuries and strains.
