As it is compulsory for all team First Aiders to have a current first aid certificate, the club has engaged SafetyCorp to run a Provide First Aid course (HLTAID003) course. Content will include AFL-specific injuries eg concussions, sprains, fractures etc and training on the club's new defibrillator.
The cost is $100 per member, with the club subsidising $50.
First aid knowledge is beneficial in everyday life so we encourage all members and their families to attend.
Coaches and Managers are welcome to come along as injuries can occur at training.
Coaches are encouraged to attend the CPR refresher component which will take place during the first 2.5 hours of the course.
